Cape Air Resumes San Juan - Ponce Flights

Cape Air – with three flights daily between San Juan and Ponce, Puerto Rico – reopened operations this week after completing an extensive five-day maintenance schedule on its entire fleet of Cessna 402 aircraft.

The airline boasts high marks and several safety awards from the Federal Aviation Administration for their outstanding safety record.

"I am happy to report that just five days after voluntarily ramping-down our operation to install replacement parts in all 98 engines of our 49 Cessna 402 aircraft, we have resumed normal, full operation of all flights in all regions," wrote Cape Air President Dan Wolf in an open letter on flycapeair.com, the company's Website.

 

"We have always taken pride in our focus on safety and, over eighteen years, have demonstrated our proactive commitment to ensure the safety of customers and crew," he continued.
