Life is about to get easier and safer for thousands of citizens in South Puerto Rico (also known as Porta Caribe). Construction will be underway in 2008 on a new dam in the Portugués River in the city of Ponce. The forth-annual Women in Percussion Music Festival will take place March 29 in the Sergio Negrón Stage in Ponce’s La Guancha Boardwalk.
